• The US now spends $3 billion daily on interest expenses. This amount was stable at $1 billion daily from 2004 to 2007, then gradually increased after 2016, accelerating significantly after the pandemic. 1
• Over the past 50 years, the S&P 500's median December gain was 1.37%, with positive returns in 36 of the years. Most gains occurred in the second half of December, with a median gain of 1.06% from 12/15 to 12/31 and positive returns in 39 of the years. *2
• In 2024, 6.9% of the global population owns cryptocurrencies. In the US, the rate is 15.5%, the highest among G8 countries, with Canada next at 10.2%. 2
• 13% of US adults know little or nothing about personal finances, and only 27% feel confident creating an investment plan. 2
