Susan Michel is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Glen Eagle Wealth, LLC and Glen Eagle Advisors, LLC (collectively, “Glen Eagle”), a full-service Registered Investment Advisor and Broker Dealer, respectively. Susan founded Glen Eagle in 2002. Glen Eagle is a WBENC-Certified Women’s Business Enterprise.
Today, under Susan’s principled guidance, Glen Eagle has grown to become a national financial services firm providing corporations, family offices, business owners, and multi-generational families with trusted stewardship and transparent access to their wealth. Glen Eagle is also qualified under the America's Women-Owned Trading Desk® program, one of the few women-owned trading platforms in the world. With its expertise in equities, fixed income, options, hedging, restricted stock, cash management, and margin lending, Glen Eagle’s trading desk provides services to institutions and sophisticated investors globally.
Susan previously served as a Board Member of CircleBlack, Inc., a financial technology firm that provides aggregation and reporting tools to broker-dealers and investment advisors. In addition, Susan believes it is important to give back to others through service in the non-profit sector. She currently serves as Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of The Hun School of Princeton (2023), as a Trustee on the Board of Saint Elizabeth University, and as 2022-2023 President of the New Jersey Chapter of the Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO), a peer-to-peer network of 14,000+ leaders across 61 countries.
Susan has a national presence as a speaker and contributor. She has been featured in Fortune, Forbes, and Newsweek. She has spoken to a wide variety of audiences, including FINRA’s National Annual Conference, Financial Advisor’s Invest in Women Conference, and the Enterprising Women Conference. Susan also hosts a national podcast, Women’s Wealth: The Middle Way®.
Susan’s business leadership has been recognized by numerous organizations, including, among others: the 2020 WBENC Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) Star Award, the Enterprising Women Top 20 in 2020 Award, the National Enterprising Woman of the Year Award, and the Brava Award by Smart CEO. She has also been named one of NJBIZ’s Best 50 Women in Business and one of the Top 25 Leading Women Entrepreneurs and Business Owners of New Jersey. Susan completed the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Boards That Lead Governance Program and the Tuck-WBENC Executive Program.
As President of the firm’s trading division, John Ryan is primarily responsible for client relations, business development, and trading. He brings 26 years of experience to Glen Eagle. His focus includes business development, as well as trading equities, fixed income, and currencies. Prior to joining CFT, John was a Managing Director of the Quellos Group, a financial services boutique, where he was instrumental in building trading relationships with hedge funds, venture funds, and high net worth individuals. Before joining Quellos, he developed relationships with ultra-high net worth families as a Vice President of Bear Stearns. He started his financial services career at Salomon Brothers. John graduated from Seton Hall University in 1991 with a BS cum laude in Finance.
Ansie Monaghan began her wealth management career in 1991 in fixed income trading and wealth preservation for families. At the core of her practice - and the Glen Eagle family - are the values of integrity, knowledge, and trust. These serve as the foundation of creating a lifelong commitment to achieving the goals that each client has.
Ansie attended the University of Virginia and earned a BA in International Relations with a minor in Religion. In her spare time, Ansie enjoys swimming and has competed in open water swims around the world. She is a passionate advocate for the elderly. She serves on the Advisory Committee of Womanspace, a nonprofit based in Mercer County. She has also volunteered with Zonta, an organization that empowers women.
Ansie is the proud Mom of three children; she and her family reside in Lawrence, NJ.
Steve Bergida serves as Managing Director and Head Trader of the firm’s trading division and is responsible for all trading activity and operations. Steve brings 32 years of experience trading global equities, fixed income, currencies, listed options, and structured derivatives to Glen Eagle. Prior to joining CFT, he was a Managing Director and Head Trader for Quellos Brokerage Services, LLC, where he established and ran their trading operation. Before joining Quellos, Steve served as a Managing Director at ING Furman Selz Asset Management where he ran the trading operations for the firm with $18 billion under management and acted as Head Trader for the Asset Management Group. Before running the Asset Management desk, he worked on the Arbitrage desk as a Proprietary Trader at Furman Selz. Steve holds a BS in Finance from the University of Maryland.
Pat is the Chief Compliance Officer for Glen Eagle Advisors, LLC. He is responsible for the regulatory monitoring of the firm’s registered representatives and the implementation of supervisory policies and procedures. Pat is also responsible for continuing education training, maintaining the firm’s business continuity planning, and monitoring the books and records.
Prior to joining Glen Eagle, Pat worked as a Vice President on CBIZ, Inc.’s middle market risk management team. Earlier in his career, he spent time working at Wells Fargo Securities and EquityZen Securities as a broker for fixed income and private securities transactions.
Before beginning his career in financial services, Pat served as a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps and was deployed twice to the Middle East.
Pat maintains his Series 7, Series 24, and Series 63 registrations.
As the Chief Investment Officer, Rob is responsible for the firm’s market research, investment outlook, and portfolio monitoring. Prior to joining Glen Eagle, Rob worked in the Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley in New York City. Rob earned a Bachelor of Arts in both economics and political science from Yale University in addition to later attending the University of Pennsylvania’s Business School Wharton for his MBA. Rob currently serves on the Finance Committee of St. Patrick's Church in Philadelphia.
Ron Sims’ primary focus is on trading equities. Prior to joining CFT, Ron worked at Quellos Brokerage Services, LLC where he served in the same capacity. Previously, Ron was a Vice President at ING Asset Management trading for various hedge funds. He has experience trading in domestic and foreign equity and bond markets as well as options, derivatives, and commodities. He began his career trading on behalf of mutual funds and pension funds at Wright Investors’ Service. Ron graduated with a BS in finance in 1987 from the University of Connecticut.
Carol Ann is responsible for overseeing the 401k department and client retirement projections. Prior to joining Glen Eagle, Carol Ann worked in the Wealth Management Division at Merrill Lynch, Annuities Group at Prudential, and Global Capital Markets group at M&T Bank in New York City. Carol Ann earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Notre Dame in addition to later returning to Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business for her MBA. Carol Ann currently serves on the NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) of Philadelphia committee.
