Millennials Wait For Inheritance

  •  Baby Boomers have an average net worth 12 times larger than Millennials, who earn 20% less than Boomers did at their age. By 2030, however, Millennials will increase their net worth 5x by inheriting around $70 trillion from their parents. 1
  • The 50 worst-performing stocks in the S&P 500 in 2022 gained an average of 50.2% in 2023. In comparison, the 50 best-performing stocks of 2022 had an average gain of just 6.2% in 2023. *1
  • US society has changed significantly since 1950. Homeownership in the U.S. has risen from 40% in 1950 to 66% now, car ownership from 50% to 91%, and the percentage of people with a college degree from 5% to 44%. 2
  • 40% of all US container traffic passes through the Panama Canal, which uses 3x as much water as New York City. However, water levels are extremely low right now. Currently, only 23 vessels are passing through per day instead of the usual 37. 3
