- In 2024, health care was the top employer in 38 states, compared to just 6 for manufacturing. This is a stark contrast to 1990, when manufacturing led in 35 states, and health care wasn’t #1 in any. 1
- Americans spend an average of $90/month on subscriptions—including $17 for ones they don’t use. Millennials spend the most ($101/month), though that’s down from $119 last year. 1
- The bottom 90% of Americans own just 13% of the stock market but 56% of the housing market. The top 1% own 50% of stocks and only 14% of housing. 2
- The Magnificent 7 Stock (Tesla, Meta, Google, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, and Nvidia) now have a combined market cap of $18.8 trillion. That is more than the combined value of the bottom 432 companies in the index. 3
