- Since 1945, the S&P 500 has averaged a 1.0% October gain, rising 60.4% of the time; in midterm election years, the average gain increases to 2.8%. *1
- The latest Census Bureau report shows that women have gained 765K jobs since December 2024, while men have lost 6K over the same period. Additionally, women’s median earnings for full-time year-round work grew 3.2% from 2024 to 2025, while men saw no statistically significant change. 2
- India’s economy, growing about 7% annually, is now the world’s sixth largest—behind the UK but ahead of France. Half of its population is under 30, but the 60+ population is expected to more than double to 230 million by 2036. 3
- S&P 500 gains remain concentrated, with Nvidia, Micron, Apple, and AMD contributing just under half of the index’s 12.9% YTD return as of Oct. 1. *4
